ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Project with 8th grade students of the Rudolf Steiner school Hamburg-Nienstedten
In a six week intensive workshop with 35 students ages 13-15, Alicia Agustin developed and wrote a play based on Lewis Carrol’s “Alice in Wonderland” and “Alice through the looking glass”, which dealt with the concerns and wonders of young humans, who are learning how to become members of society.
How am I being perceived? Who sets the boundaries between the normal and the insane? Does anyone actually know how to live this life?
At first, all characters in wonderland seem to follow an upside down logic, but what if the so called wonderland is closer to our reality than we would like to admit?
Are we not constantly confronted with the post-factual and authoritarian behavior? And hasn’t science been forced to admit the fact of non-linear time?
